Home to one of two holy Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka, the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the mountain city of Kandy is one of Sri Lanka's must-see sights. A group of monks walked around the artificial lake that dominates the Kandy city layout. Far off in the distance were the angled roofs of the temple, where a tooth of the Buddha taken after his cremation is supposedly kept.
