The journey begins near the gilded dome of the Massachusetts State House in Boston. A tour guide at the State House once told us that all official highway measurements in the state originated from a wooden fish carving in the Senate called the "Holy Mackerel." If that fish tale is true, then we'll be trekking 2,279.87 miles to the main plaza of Mexico City.
