On the journey up, we whizz by tracts of crops grown on impressive inclines. Radishes here, onions and leeks over there. Corn on the hillside, and potatoes on the plateaus. Along the curvy road, we also get glimpses of the perfectly shaped cone of Santa Maria volcano.
