There is only one bank on the island, so we nabbed some Nicaraguan Cordobas before getting on the boat. The Nicaraguan government tries to keep a steady 18 or so Cordoba to the dollar ratio. Nearly all the prices we've seen here in this country have been quoted in dollars. ATMs will spit out our greenbacks as well as the local currency, so don't worry to much if all you have is a couple Jeffersons in your pocket.
