Just before boarding the plane, Brian had to throw up - something to do with what he ate. Thushan and Brian were on different rows on the plane. When they were reunited, this is the scene Thushan came to. Soon after deplaning, Brian threw up again, earning him a dubious distinction (but one he likes to tout) of vomiting in two noncontiguous countries.
