It was made famous by Vinicius de Moriaes and Tom Jobim, authors of the song "Garota de Ipanema" ("Girl from Ipanema"), one of the most played songs in the world. After a week in Rio we still hadn't had a good beach day due to rain and a busy schedule. Luckily, we will be back in a couple weeks to fly out of Rio's airport on our way to Europe.
