After the show on the staircase ended we headed up the Ladeira do Carmo to this small bar in the adjacent neighborhood of Santo Antonio. Many of the buildings in Santo Antonio boast beautiful views of the bay and islands. We were told by one of the bar's most senior waiters that this particular spot was once a quiet gem. Today the bar still has the same beautiful vista but its tranquility has vanished.
