The sun creeping down the rock ledge above our rustic sleeping place was a mixed blessing. After a freezing and sleepless night lying on a rock under the stars, the sun would warm the air to a bearable temperature, but it also meant that we would be continuing our long trek through the hot sun for another full day, after two days of almost no sleep.
