Monday was opening day of classes at Salvador's prestigious Cultural Foundation Dance School (Escola de Dança da Fundação Cultural) so we decided to head over to the school to observe a couple of classes. Recognized internationally as one of the world's best dance schools, the Cultural Foundation Dance School is publicly funded and features classes in ballet, capoeira, contemporary, West African, and regional Bahian dance disciplines.
