We met this group of students who were desperately trying to relax on the beach while nervously awaiting results from their Brazilian diplomacy tests. They told us that they had studied intensively for the past year to join the Brazilian foreign service. Of 8,000 applicants, only the owners of the top 300 test scores advance to the second round of the selection process. Even if they don't advance at least these students will always have Ipanema.
