As acquiring visas go, getting a Chinese visa was fairly straightforward. A quick form to fill, a passport photo, and $130 will get you a visa in just two days. The only thing we were not prepared for was the mandatory intended place of stay field in the application form. Randomly asking others in line, we were able to procure that address easily enough.
