First stop: The Tower of London on the banks of the Thames River. Currently, the Tower of London is home to the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom. It also lays claim to a number of other former uses including an armory, Royal Mint, observatory, and most famously as the site for various executions and home to torture chambers.
