While reading London's free daily, The Metro, Mike noticed a small article about a mishap the day before on the London Eye, London's giant Ferris wheel. Hundreds of riders were stranded on the Eye for an hour and half due to a broken tire that helps to turn the gears of the massive wheel. Ironically, we rode the Eye yesterday hours before the mechanical fault occurred and even noticed the poor condition of the tire as we passed it while riding by. We considered notifying one of the Eye's operators, but never said a word, assuming that they already were aware of the problem. Oops!
