03/26/2008 | Location: Nairobi, Kenya
After a brief nap we headed out for our first Kenyan meal. For about 150 Kenyan shillings ($2.50) Thushan ordered this plate of Pilau rice with goat meat. Many of Nairobi's eateries feature South Indian dishes, remnants from Indian immigrants who migrated to Kenya during British imperial rule to work on the construction of the country's railroads.
