After settling in to a cheap hotel within walking distance of the train station we set out for Diani Beach and the Indian Ocean. Diani is a small beach town located about 45 minutes South of Mombasa, however getting there is not as easy as one would expect. The first leg of our trek was via "tuk-tuk" (a three passenger moto-taxi) to the Likoni Ferry.
