Thanks to Victoria Willis, the innkeeper, who made a few phone calls and handled the logistics, we were soon squared away for a four-hour sunset safari. In Swahili, the term safari means "journey." Popular culture has narrowed the definition of the term to refer to an expedition in search of wild game. Today, we went in search of the latter. Thushan and Mike chatted excitedly about the possibility of seeing one of the big cats from the open roof matatu we hired.
