A stop in town before the border crossing gave us a chance to check up on our bags, which we had (stupidly) stored in the undercarriage. Despite being in a closed and locked area, the region's trademark soil managed to sneak in along the battered road and give our bags a dusting. We couldn't help but smile -- at least our bags earned a good bit of the weathered look.
