On our way back to Schiphol Airport we came upon this massive bike rack near the city's central train station. Amsterdam is widely considered to be the bicycle capital of the world. Bikes dominate the city streets and, in addition to the miles of bike paths that line city streets, bike traffic signals have been added to prominent intersections to ensure the safety of riders. This scene foreshadowed our adventures to come in Amsterdam.
