It's undeniable; almost everyone takes some pleasure in a kitschy fair from time to time. Located about 100 yards from the apartment where we set up shop in Hamburg is the Hamburger Dom, Northern Germany's largest fair. Lured by the smell of fried dough and grilled bratwurst we wandered over to the Dom to find out what the German carnival experience was all about.
