A popular legend has it that if you throw a coin into the fountain, you will return to Rome. The legend then gets a bit blurry, with some saying two coins thrown will bring marriage, and others saying it means you will fall in love in Rome. All agree on the legend for throwing three coins into the fountain: divorce.
