To our surprise, when we returned to our hostel room, we found a note from Thushan's friend and coworker Tito Bottita taped to a desk. The note read, "Thushan, I'm in the shower, if you get this message, don't leave without me." Sure enough, minutes later, the infamous Tito emerged from the hostel bathroom, towel in hand. On a bike trip from Florence to Rome, Tito had gotten word of our presence in the great Roman capital and had tracked us down at the Yellow Hostel. To celebrate this chance reunion we headed out to San Lorenzo, a nearby neighborhood, for some food and drink.
