Espresso was necessary for the LongJaunt crew in order to keep our legs moving to our next destination. Italy is renowned for its coffee, and we were happy to find that no matter where we were in Rome, there was a reliably good espresso cafe around the corner. One striking difference between cafes in Italy and the United States is that baristas tend to be older and better dressed than the college kids who are employed in American cafes.
