If you put your senses to work atop the Torre degli Asinelli, you'll feel the floor slightly drop out. That's because the tower, finished in 1119, leans 4 feet, 3 inches out of plumb. The tower next door, seen here, tilts a more dramatic 10 feet, 6 inches off, despite being half as tall.
