At 11 a.m., we arrived at the island of Hvar about 4 miles offshore. The parking lot of the ferry terminal was filled with Zastava automobiles from the 1970s. Zastava is Serbia's largest local car manufacturer, and this particular model, the Zastava GTL 55, produced in large quantities during the mid-1970s, is still a common site throughout the Balkans.
