The eight-hour bus ride from Split to Sarajevo takes you first south, winding and twisting down a coastal road with breathtaking views of the sea and horrifying sheer cliff drop-offs to match. The route then turns inland and northward, passing through the green mountain valleys of the white-capped Dinaric Alps and swaths of wetlands before reaching Sarajevo.
