The majority of Doha skyline is made up of gaudy skyscrapers, most of which are still under construction. There despite being a very urban area, there were few people to be found. The construction boom in Qatar has brought in hundreds of thousands of South Asia immigrants who now make up a vast majority of the population of the country which is now just under one million. As many of the mostly male workers have come without their families, the female-male ratio of Qatar has shifted significantly. Single ladies take notice, today in Qatar there are almost two men for each woman.
