The stretch between Colombo and Galle has a number of picturesque beachside settings. Taking advantage of it, most of Sri Lanka's beach resort scene can be found packed in this stretch of shore, from Mt. Lavina just outside of Colombo to Hikkadua near Galle, where one can visit coral reefs a swimming distance away from shore.
