Mumbai's trains have a reputation for being some of the most crowded in the world. The thought of being stuck in this crush was not appealing, but we felt like we'd miss an important side of the city if we skipped them. When we needed to get across town and it became clear that it would take three times as long sitting in traffic in a city bus or cab we headed to Bandra station and caught the next train to South Mumbai.
