Spending a full night in our first Indian sleeper bus, we arrived the next morning in Ahmedabad, the capital city of the state of Gujarat, 14 hours north and a world away from Bollywood. Our good friend from home, Leila Bozorg, has been working here for the past nine months so we set up camp at her apartment on the outskirts of the sprawling city. Here, the view from Leila's veranda of new housing developments quickly sprouting up around town.
