07/06/2008 | Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
After pricing out options, we decided to fly to Chiang Mai. While more economical, a bus would have taken nearly all day and a train, not much less time. The 3 hour flight through Bangkok was cheap enough to knock us off the fence. Our flight would take us approximately 1500km (over 900 miles) and the price was right at around $150 per ticket.
