The Thais like to call their country the "Land of smiles." If that's the case, then the ancient (and first) Thai Kingdom capital city, Sukhothai is center of it all. Literally translated, Sukhothai means "Dawn of Happiness," and if the smiling faces we came across on its streets are any indication, the sun has yet to set here.
