You wouldn't be tasting real Argentine culture if you didn't try the local strong tea brewed here called mate. The tea is packed into a cup like this one, almost filling it, and then hot water is added. The metal straw has a strainer on the end that filters out the tea so all you get is the "unique" tasting mate.
